DIRECTIONS

1) Remove battery cover and install 4 AA alkaline batteries (non rechargeable) in the manner indicated on unit, reinstall cover.

2) Install over 2 1/2" D-ring mounted on your BC (or use the optional accessory handle, part # D-200H). Insert the pull pin in the hole on top of the unit to lock the D-ring in place. (Find a convenient location for the D-ring).

3) Attach the clip to your starting point. Tighten the drag while holding the spool, this sets the tension on the spool and stops the line from free spooling.

4) Turn on the unit. The AUTOREELER will automatically reel in when there is slack and give line out as needed.

5) The spool lock is designed in such a way that when engaged the spool will ratchet preventing the line from coming out, and in the off position it locks for deploying SMB's or to turn off the ratchet function.

The AUTOREELER fits on a standard 2 1/2" D-ring. If the unit won't fit on your D-ring contact the manufacturer or retailer to purchase a New D-ring. The pull pin can be used as a quick disconnect in the event of an emergency simply pull it out and pull the unit off of the D-ring to be free of the reel!

Please follow these recomondations:

  • Don't drop on hard surfaces.
  • Remove batteries before storing for long periods.
  • Rinse after use.

Manual mode

We have taken every precaution to make sure the unit will give you years of trouble free service, but if the unit ever fails or the batteries die you can use the manual mode. Just turn the unit off adjusted the drag and wind in like a convention wreck reel.

MAINTANANCE

The first thing to do after the dive is to rinse the unit off in fresh water. Submerge the unit and let it soak for a couple minutes. While the unit is soaking, agitate it gently. This will help flush out any salt residue. Lay the unit out and let it air dry; this allows water in inaccessible areas to evaporate.
